The Uttarakhand government has launched the Uttarakhand Water Connection Scheme for the needy people of the state. At present, many people are taking advantage of this scheme. While earlier people had to spend about Rs 2350 for water connection, then under this scheme, the water connection is available for one rupee. 

People from all rural areas of the state will be able to avail themselves of the tap water connection scheme and not face water shortage. The Uttarakhand government says that Uttarakhand will be the first state in the country to provide water connections, and people will do it for just ₹1 with this scheme.

Chief Minister of the State launched the scheme because of the unavailability of water. The poor and economically very weak people of the rural areas will be able to get the water connection to their homes in only ₹ one and get drinking water in their houses.

The benefit of Uttarakhand Water Connection Yojana

The government will extend The benefit of the Uttarakhand One Rupee Water Connection Scheme to the citizens living in the rural areas of Uttarakhand.

The water connection scheme will provide water connection for only ₹ one under the scheme to the citizens of Uttarakhand. 

Under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the State of Uttarakhand, access to clean potable water will be easy to the homes of 1509758 families in 15647 villages across the state.

The citizens living in Uttarakhand rural areas can also use this water for irrigation.

From the information received from the Uttarakhand government, it has been revealed that the drinking water provided under this scheme will be made operational for the villagers for 16 hours a day.

With the launch of the Uttarakhand Rs1 Tap Water Connection Scheme, the dream of The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will also give the right direction to provide tap water to every house. With the tap water scheme at ₹1, water connection will be available in the whole state.

The state government has entrusted the door-to-door delivery of water for Uttarakhand’s one rupee water connection scheme to Jal Sansthan, Swajal and Uttarakhand Jal board. It is the responsibility of these institutions and the board to provide tap connections under the Uttarakhand ₹ one water connection scheme to every household in the state. 

The government also prepared a budget of Rs.1565 crore on the Uttarakhand ₹ one water connection scheme for its smooth running. The Jal Sansthan and Jal Board have been entrusted with providing different numbers of water by the State Government. 

Under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the State of Uttarakhand, 15647 villages in Uttarakhand, access to 1509758 and drinking water is given to these institutions and the board.

Swajal Board: A total of 2078 revenue villages have been assigned to the Swajal Board, under which they have to provide access to water to a total of 235994 families.

Water Institute:- At the same time, if we talk about the Water Institute, it has to access water in 3804 revenue villages.

Uttarakhand Jal Board:- The Uttarakhand Jal Board has to reach out to 361654 families under the Uttarakhand ₹ one water connection scheme at the earliest.

Uttarakhand Drinking Water Corporation:- The biggest responsibility under the Uttarakhand RS1 tap water connection scheme has been entrusted to the Uttarakhand Drinking Water Corporation Board. The Jal Board has 9754 villages in which a total of 911953 families have to provide access to water.
