Jharkhand government’s big decision, now DSPMU will be known by this new name
Jharkhand News: A cabinet meeting was held yesterday on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. A major change was approved in this meeting. The name of Ranchi-based Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University will be changed. After the approval from the cabinet, now Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University will be named Veer Budhu Bhagat University.
Jharkhand News: A cabinet meeting was held yesterday on Thursday under the chairmanship of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. A total of 34 proposals were approved in this meeting. The most important decision taken among these was that just like before the year 2017, once again the open auction of sand ghats will be done by the districts. Apart from this, a big change was approved. The name of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University located in Ranchi will be changed.
DSPMU’s new name is Veer Budhu Bhagat University
In the cabinet meeting, the amendment in the Jharkhand State University (Amendment) Act, 2017 was approved to change the name of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi (DSPMU). After the approval from the cabinet, now Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University will be named Veer Budhu Bhagat University.
Babulal Marandi expressed objection
BJP state president Babulal Marandi has expressed objection to the change in the name of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University. Babulal Marandi has targeted Hemant Soren and said that the Jharkhand government’s decision to change the name of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University to Veer Budhu Bhagat University is very unfortunate. He termed it as the beginning of a wrong tradition. Marandi said that such steps weaken the stability of institutions and respect for history. He has demanded immediate withdrawal of this decision.
